Explanation of the Competition Selection Results

Evaluation Process

The evaluation is carried out by two teams — industry experts from Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine (SCU) and experts from Melville Sikorsky Challenge Ltd. (Melville).
The evaluation parameters are provided by Melville Sikorsky Challenge Ltd.

The evaluation is conducted based on the following criteria:

  • General Information about the Project
  • Project Essence and Innovation
  • Project Stage
  • Financial Parameters
  • Team and Executors
  • Implementation and Work Plan
  • Market and Clients
  • Competitors and Alternatives
  • Risk Assessment
  • Economic Efficiency
  • Legal Aspects
  • Intellectual Property (IP)
  • Requested Investment Amount and Terms
  • Expected Cooperation Model (equity, loan, partnership, grant)
  • Availability of Combat (Field) Application for Military Projects

SCU conducts the initial evaluation of the submitted projects and provides the evaluation results to Melville.

Melville applies the same evaluation framework as SCU but reserves the right to make independent decisions regarding the selection of teams for the final stage based on their potential and demonstrated interest from partner investors.

Melville takes into account the expert evaluation results provided by SCU; however, the final decision-making authority, as well as the right of first refusal, remains with Melville.

Additionally, advancement to the final does not guarantee winning and/or receiving investment. Likewise, failure to advance to the final stage does not exclude the possibility of individual interest from an investor-partner of the Accelerator.

Number of Finalists

According to the competition rules, up to 12 projects may be selected for the final stage within each thematic area.

However, if necessary and under appropriate circumstances, the number of projects presented in the final may be adjusted based on mutual agreement, feasibility, and consent of both SCU and Melville.

Additional Provisions

The Organising Committee reserves the right not to disclose the reasons for rejecting applications submitted to the competition.
